We designed our exclusive MEDPOR TITAN 3D orbital floor implant to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of orbital reconstruction. We use CT-scan data to design the titantium implants to approximate the anatomy of the orbital floor and medial wall. Unlike other implants, however, the MEDPOR polyethylene implant was designed to be porous, rather than walled-off from living tissues. This means the soft tissues surrounding the implant will grow into its surface over time, effectively fusing the implant with the surrounding living tissue. Medpor/Supor is a biocompatible, porous polyethylene implant used for craniofacial reconstruction and augmentation.

Using the Medpor implant removes the need for surgery in the chest to harvest of rib cartilage. Thus there is no pain, scarring or deformity of the chest with this approach.
